The Company
Telenoog was founded in 2018 as an extention to universitys student project, students wanted to realize their dream to be come entrepreneurs by productizing and monetizing their graduation project rather than search for a job that limits their ambitions. The core idea of this graduate project was building an Internet of Things device from discrete components, especially a smart home system (IOT) as a new emerging technology that enticed students to search in this field to acquire technical knowledge and help secure their place in the market.
Bagady Solutions as a strategy platform with seasoned experienced proffesionals in forming and helping executing strategy, is a partner of a choice to help entrepreneurs and startups to realize their future dream. Bagady solutions engaged with entrepreneur student to help telenoog idea conceived at first place, borne and walk. Bagady Solutions with its expertise in helping startups and entrepreneurs to realize their dreams through scientific approach, filling the gap in entrepreneur experience by crafting strategy for startup future sustainability trough engagement approach of three concurrent phases:
Phase 1: Finding the Wedge (2019–2020)
Working alongside the Telenoog commercial team, to formulate a growth strategy:
Forming the strategy
The only arsenals of an entrepreneur when establishing a startup or a new business is an idea, risk taking behaviour and her/his enthusiasm which will not help them to combat the future uncertainties that cause their dream demise in a couple of years. These arsenals are not enough if not associated with a clear strategy that pave the way for this business to be sustained in the future.
Market assessment
According to cisco white paper published in 2011 IOT came into the world between year 2008 and 2009[1]. In 1999 Kevin Ashton, the founder of Auto-ID, first used the term Internet of Things in his presentation to Procter & Gamble when he tried to connected RFID-based device (Radio Frequency Identification) to the internet, providing connectivity different than IP-based internet protocol, Ashton’s breakthrough played and essential role in IOT technology[2]. So, IOT is still something new in the world and growing rapidly till the number of connected devices exceeded the world population indicating that the IOT revenue will grow exponentially. Although in Sudan there is no historical data for the IOT, but we believe that once introduced it will grow following a same behaviour of the world growth curve.
Analysis
Since Telenoog as startup has no historical internal environment to be analysed, the entrepreneurial characteristics of the owner entrepreneur will be analysed instead, the only other thing that will be analysed is the external environment.
Strategic Goal and Objectives
Vision and mission have been formulated and setting what so called a Big Hairy audacious Goals (BHAG),which will fuel the startup’s engine to accelerate for the 5-10 years to come.
For the Telenoog the BHAG has been set to guide owner entrepreneur to sustain the organization for generation to come by pursuing the BHAG achievement. And at same time setting mission and vision for the startups.
Initiatives and strategic projects
Strategic initiatives are the cornerstone of organizational success, acting as the critical link between long-term goals and day-to-day operations. They translate a company's strategic vision into actionable steps, ensuring alignment across teams and functions while driving measurable results. By focusing on well-designed initiatives, organizations can address challenges, seize opportunities, and adapt to changing market dynamics [3].
Strategic initiatives for Telenoog and its associated projects have been developed, and financial and other resources have been allocated to ensure the success of these projects thereby enabling the realization of Telenoog’s vision and mission.
Phase 2: Strategy execution
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) have been identified, supported by relentless follow-up to ensure that the execution of initiatives and projects advances the organization in the intended direction and achieves the anticipated growth targets.
Phase 3: International Expansion
Following the outbreak of the armed conflict in Sudan on April 15, 2023, Bagady solutions helped Telenoog to activate its expansion strategy. As part of a broader regional expansion plan enabled by the assurance of national maturity and the subsequent activation of the regional strategy Telenoog established a presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman in late 2024
Key Outcomes by Phase:
• Phase 1: Growth strategy formation.
• Phase 2: strategy execution and national market dominance.
• Phase 3: International markets presence to cater for regional risk.
• Overall: Telenoog sustainability and resilience guaranteed a mid-national turmoil.

Lessons learned from Five Years in the Field
The Telenoog engagement reinforced several convictions that shape how we approach IoT strategy mandates.
1. A well-defined strategy from the outset is essential for any startup's success
Telenoog's experience with strategy engagement has shown that forming an executable strategy is crucial for any startup aiming for sustainability and growth. Without it, the eventual outcome is either stagnation or the demise of the original idea.
2. Long-term partnerships with strategy platforms
Forming a strategy is not a one-time job but a continuous endeavour. Therefore, partnering with a prominent strategy platform is a smart choice one that reinforces the vision of an organization was built to last
